X-Ray

X-rays are the oldest and most frequently used form of medical imaging, first discovered in 1885. Since then it has evolved a lot and now a days radiographs are obtained using technique rather than films. It can be used for any part of body but mostly used to evaluate chest/lung, abdomen and bones.

X-RAY PREPERATION

  • Appointments can be scheduled online or over the phone but are not required as Walk-in appointments are welcome.

  • Tell us if you are, or suspect you might be pregnant.

  • You will need to remove certain type of jewellery or clothing that might interfere or project onto the image. We will guide you for the same during the examination.

  • No other preparation is needed.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • A registered technologist will discuss the procedure with you and answer any questions you might have. Again please inform the technologist if you are or could be pregnant.

  • You may be asked to change into a gown.

  • You will be taken to the x-ray room where you will be positioned for the exam – either standing, sitting, or lying down on a table, depending on which part of your body is to be imaged.

  • Please follow the instructions given by your technologist.

Scientist in the Lab

Lab

  • Our clinical laboratory testing services include: blood tests, body fluid testing, tissue pathology and cytology, health screening and monitoring tests.

  • Some blood test requires special preparation like overnight fasting. Our dedicated team will update you at the time of scheduling your test.

  • Please do not hesitate to contact us for any other information.

CT Scan

  • Computed Tomography examinations or CT scans are sometimes called CAT scans (computed axial tomography). CT scans are a noninvasive way of seeing inside the body using X-rays and powerful computers.

  • CT scans can be done for any part of the body and can be tailored to evaluate specific patient problem

 CONTRAST

  • Some examinations needs to drink an oral contrast agent and some other studies, intravenous (IV) injection of a contrast agent containing iodine may be required.  Your dedicated CT technologist will explain in details as needed. If you have had a prior reaction or are allergic to the oral or IV contrast material, are pregnant, or have kidney problems, please alert our schedulers and the technologists.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Prior to the start of the examination, a registered technologist will explain the test, and you may be asked to change into a gown. You will then be positioned comfortably on the CT table and asked to hold still briefly to avoid blurring as the images are acquired.

  • Wear comfortable clothes – you may be asked to change into a gown, depending on the body part being studied.

  • Avoid metal on clothing and jewelry as these will need to be removed as these can interfere with the images.

Ultrasounds

Ultrasound

  • Ultrasound is a highly sophisticated, safe, and painless exam.

  • Ultrasound imaging, also called sonography, is an excellent way of seeing the structure and function of the body using high frequency (but inaudible) sound waves. The sound waves are generated from special transducers or probes into the body part being examined.

  • These sound waves either reflected and/or go through the organs of the body. The returning sound waves are converted into images by special computers and displayed on a screen instantly.

  • Being able to view the images instantly or in real time affords advantages in looking at body parts in any position needed and in assessing movement.

  • Our specially trained staff will work to make sure you are comfortable and your questions are addressed.

  • ULTRASOUND PREPARATIONS

  • Some ultrasound procedures have specific preparation instructions. You will be informed of these instructions at the time of scheduling.

  • Wear comfortable clothing – you may be asked to change into a gown for some exams.

  • Ultrasound uses no ionizing radiation and requires no injections.

Doctor with Mammography

Mammography

  • A mammogram is an image of the breast tissue obtained using low-dose x-ray technology, allowing us to see any breast mass. This modality is used to screen for breast cancer.

MRI

MRI

  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a medical imaging technique used in radiology to form pictures of the anatomy and the physiological processes of the body.
